30 members of staff (teachers, cleaners, gardeners and administrative staff) are taking care of 450 children between the age of 3 and 7 years.
A strong emphasis is being put on the local languages and culture; (Gambian) story telling, drumming and dancing are on the daily timetable as well as Maths, English, Arts & Craft, Sports, Music and Religious Studies. On a big and well-equipped school ground the children have enough space and material to develop their physical, social and mental skills, supported by qualified staff.
A free daily breakfast is given to the all school children – free of charge. The school garden’s harvests are cooked or given out to children to improve their diet.
A hall is used for school events and celebrations as well as raising some funds by renting it out to various organisations (e.g.UNICEF) or private events
